Concentration

In all high-level sport, a lot depends on the efforts of concentration in preparation for the event.  This rule applies equally to surfing and to this young Australian (World Champion in 1989)

If the French stage of the World Championship is interrupted due to the absence of waves, the surfers will still get out their boards, either giving an exhibition or finding a spot hundreds of meters away from the competition site where they can put in some training.

 This performance wouldn’t win many prizes but it makes for an interesting and unusual photo.
